About the Author | ||
Carlos Reinoso, Ph.D. was born in Cuba in 1965. He traveled to the United States in 1967 with his family who desired to be free from the communist rule of Fidel Castro. His family arrived in Miami and after a short period of time, they relocated to New Orleans, Louisiana. Carlos attended Catholic schools through his elementary and secondary years obtaining a high school diploma from prestigious Brother Martin High School. He then attended the University of New Orleans where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology in 1987. Carlos was one of a handful of applicants accepted to one of four specialized doctoral degree programs in the country in the area of Applied Developmental Psychology. He obtained his doctoral degree from the University of New Orleans in 1993. Since that time he has worked in private practice as the director of the Behavioral Health & Human Development Center where he works with children and families regarding a variety of issues including ADHD, learning disabilities, Autism and behavioral/emotional concerns. |
